Very Simple At Home Beauty Treatments You Should Know About

November 21, 2008

Alright ladies and my metrosexuals! These are a few amazing treatments I have tried myself that I would definitely recommend.  There’s the aspirin scrub, lemon and sugar scrub, and an oatmeal and egg mask you should try. Most of the items you probably already have in your home!  Hope you love em!

Aspirin Scrub:

Aspirin scrub??  Ha, I thought the same thing but believe me when I say IT’S GOOD! Aspirin is a form of salicylic acid which is a great exfoliant to help treat acne.

All you need is about 6 tablets of aspirin.

  1. Take 6 tablets of aspirin a place into a small cup/small shallow dish/whatever works best for you.
  2. Add a few drops of hot water or fruit acid (lemon, lime, or orange) and let tablets dissolve (I used a shallow dish and I was able to help them dissolve by crushing the tablets with a spoon)
  3. Should result in a grainy thick paste
  4. Smear it onto your face and use as a scrub
  5. Rinse well

Lemon & Sugar Scrub:

You’ll need: Lemon & Sugar

LemonSugar
I have to admit the first time I did this I did not have a fresh lemon on hand.. Instead I had lemon juice that was in the fridge.  It worked well for me and until I decide to keep fresh lemons in stock at home I plan to continue using my lemon juice!! Moving on..

All you need to do is..

  1. squeeze a handful of lemon juice into the palm of your hand and add sugar until you get a nice thick consistency.
  2. Then apply it to your face scrubbing in circular motions.
  3. After scrubbing, rinse well
  4. WOW!  SHAZAM! Instant beauty!

If you want to get fancy with it, add a little bit of honey to the mix.

Warning: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not get it in your eye!!

Look at that, we just saved you $34 with this one.

Oatmeal & Egg Mask:

Egg yolks contain water and fat which are good for moisturizing and oatmeal soothes and calms inflamed areas.

You’ll need:

Egg Yolk

Egg Yolk

Dry Uncooked Oatmeal

1/3 cup of Dry Uncooked Oatmeal

  1. In a blender, grind the oatmeal into a fine powder.
  2. In a small bowl, blend the powdered oatmeal with the yolk into a paste.
  3. Apply mixture to clean skin and leave for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Rinse off with warm water.

Most of these depending on your skin type should only be used 1 or 2 a week.  It all depends on your skin type so be sure to use with caution.
